FLF ’18 Featured Session: Diversity & Inclusion

FLF ’18 Featured Session: Diversity & Inclusion

According to Fortune magazine “Companies in the top quartile for racial and ethnic diversity are 35% more likely to have financial returns above their respective national industry medians.” Additionally, a 2015 study from Bersin by Deloitte showed that diverse companies had 2.3 times higher cash flow per employee over a three-year period than non-diverse companies did while other studies have shown that when employees believe their company is committed to and in support of diversity AND feel included, they are 20% more likely to stay, put 12% more effort into their work and report a 50% increase in team collaboration & commitment.

The panel discussion which will address, but not be limited to race and gender issues, seeks to increase understanding of the importance of Diversity and Inclusion and the ways that implicit bias negatively impacts the level of Diversity and Inclusion in many sectors.

Panelists include a cross-section of individuals who have spent a significant portion of their career championing greater Diversity and Inclusion in their organizations and professionals who have taken concrete steps to increase the participation of underrepresented groups such as women and minorities in fields such as Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Workshop participants will learn about ways to create a workplace that fosters Diversity and Inclusion and steps that they can take to become a Diversity and Inclusion Ally.

We are proud to present this panel on Friday,  27 July 2018 at 4:15 PM
